This is where I come in, I've taken that shoulder patch and made it the focal point of my Rebranded 3rd for the ducks. Going along side that I've tried to recreate a retro feel for the jersey, giving it similar, but different curvature and arm stripes as their original teal and maroon wonders. That being said I made the stripes come from the opposite side to make it more "up-to-date". I contemplated making the base colour for this jersey orange, but I thought it might be a little too much to handle on the eyes, who knows if I keep playing around with it I might find the perfect balance in order to make a sweet orange Ducks jersey, until then, enjoy:

Rebrand Series: Ducks 3rds
I've said this many times before and I'm going to say it again...The Ducks need to bring back the Wild Wing logo. They want to, you can tell, when the introduced their current 3rd jersey they put an updated version of the guy on their shoulder patch. Anaheim just fully commit to the Wild Wing, nobody likes your boring "ducks" text across the front anymore.

Rebrand Series: Anaheim Ducks
Let's be honest, bringing wild wing back needs to happen, we don't need
to the "Ducks" text with a duck foot D anymore. What I've done
is combine elements of ducks jerseys past and present to create these jerseys.
Taking a look at the home jersey first, I've combined elements of their
current home, 3rd, and original mighty ducks jerseys to make it. Elements
from the 3rd's are the orange shoulder stripes and the shoulder patches,
sporting the ducks D, so they still have their "new" identity, as
well as the arm sleeve patterns. If you know your ducks jerseys then
you'll also notice that I've changed the direction the stripes on the bottom of
the jersey are flowing, as dismal as this sounds the reasoning behind this
switch was deliberate. The new direction is actually an old one, the
original mighty ducks jerseys had their stripes flowing this way as well, but
I've kept the unique curvature and striping in current ducks colours to make it
pop out more.
Finally, I've added the ducks current D behind the logo, to pay tribute to the mighty ducks first logo (the duck goalie mask aka wild wing with the 2 hockey sticks crisscrossed like a pirate flag tribute), but have changed the colours inside the D to make the logo pop out more.

Rebrand Series: Hurricanes 3rds
While at a quick glance you may think you've seen this jersey before, a second glance will prove your initial retain wrong. Yes the colour scheme, letters diagonally across the jersey are exactly the same the design has been updated. To make this jersey a little but more unique, besides the fact that no one uses grey as a base colour for a jersey, I've turned the design used for the rebranded canes jerseys on its head. rotating and distorting the alignment of the stripes gives the jersey a "chaotic" feel, one in which I can only imagine you must feel if caught in an actual hurricane, after all we've gotta give meaning to this team's nickname.
Finally, although not the primary focus of this jersey, I've created a new shoulder patch which can be found also on the original rebranded canes jersey posted earlier in the week. This logo includes the new flag design standing beside a map of North Carolina both on top of a faded current Hurricanes logo, encircled by Carolina Hurricanes which gives the logo a vintage but modern feel.

Rebrand Series: Carolina Hurricanes
While I posted a couple of new Hurricanes jerseys a few weeks ago I did the same as I did with the flames jerseys, rethought the design and created a brand new Canes identity. Very much like the Flames design I have created a lightning inspired logo for the Hurricanes to rock.
If you have a keen eye for detail you will notice that the flag is very similar to the flag used on the Hurricanes current 3rd jersey but different enough to make it unique. more importantly, the circle engulfing the flag is actually the outer portion of the Hurricanes current primary logo. Not to pat myself on the back or anything but I love this logo!
The jersey design itself was inspired by the Hurricanes current word mark. , if you look closely the effect behind the text looks very similar to the stripes on the across the jersey, just another little detail I pay close attention to, to make every jersey I design as unique as possible.
Although The canes have always used Red as their primary colour I think the red accent really makes the design pop out more effectively.

Rebrand Series: Calgary Flames
While I posted a Flames jersey not too long ago, I went back to the drawing board. I kept thinking to myself, there has got to be something cool I could do to make a new Flames logo. I decided to take a page out of Tampa Bay's rebranding techniques, simple is good. With that In mind I designed a logo that focuses on the more crucial part of Calgary's identity, the Flame.
With all of that in mind I took a swing at a new set of jerseys to go along with the new logo. The jerseys that the Flames use now are pretty cool, but the black doesn't sit well with me, in my opinion it seems misplaced. So, I took the black out and decided to keep with the retro colour scheme because, in my opinion the Orangey-Red, Yellow, and White is one of the best colour schemes in the league. I kept the jersey design almost identical to the design it is now, but revamped the colour scheme, and took out the awkward black patch underneath the armpit.
What do you guys think?

Rebrand Series: Jets 3rds
Although the Thrashers couldn't really pull off the powder blue, I think the Jets might just have what it takes to do what their former team could not.
Why not pay tribute to the club that gave new life to the Jets franchise. Thank you Atlanta for not only bringing the Jets back but giving new life to an awkward coloured Thrashers jersey that fits perfectly with the Jets new colour scheme.
